GENERAL
-
An e-foil is an electric powered foil board, which requires no ‘pumping’ like a standard foil board. An e-foil requires a simple press of a button on a handheld Bluetooth remote to start moving the board forward. A lithium ion battery powers the propeller that is connected to the bottom of the mast. The Fliteboard fleet that we use at E-Foil Hawaii is powerful enough to get you up on foil, or ‘flying’, while laying down, on your knees, seated, or the all time favorite – on your feet. Some of our team are even able to foil while in a headstand! Since it can be flown in a variety of different stances, almost anyone can ride, regardless of athleticism or balance abilities.
-
All riders must be a minimum of 16 years old. Any riders younger than 18 years old must have an adult guardian present.
-
All riders must be less than 220 pounds.
-
The earlier the better. Mother Nature likes to pick up the winds and water currents later in the day. We highly recommend joining us as early as 7 am, or 9 am.
-
Fliteboard can fly up to 28 miles per hour.
-
Once fully assembled our boards weigh about 85 pounds. Not a worry for you because our instructors will be carrying your boards to and from the water for you.
-
As a vessel we obey the 200ft no-wake-zone from the shore. This distance helps prevent any interaction with reef, coral, wildlife, surfers, scuba divers, and many more

YES. Fliteboards have a short bluetooth radius for connecting its controller. This stops it from propelling forward once you fall outside of that radius. Once you get back onto your Fliteboard, you can reconnect and start to fly again.

FUN TOPICS
-
YES, and it is quite possibly the most magical thing to do during whale season. Electric Foilboards are classified as vessels by the DLNR and can be operated year-round. Book early to lock in your experience.
-
Since e-foiling is enjoyed in the open water, there is definitely a possibility of seeing some amazing sealife, including whales during the winter season! When this occurs please make sure to stop all operations immediately and inform your instructor. Everyone will need to stop as well until the area is clear of all sealife.

Absolutely! See what our biggest fans have said about us on Google.

If you can lay on your belly and read a book, then you can e-foil! It’s much more fun than reading though, consider yourself warned.
